Store Display SIGN.
Measure’ approximately 4.5 feet X 5 feet . This was purchased in a storage locker auction and it that once belonged to airbrush Artist Alfredo Reyes. The painting is not signed but I believe that this might be the work of this artist as there were similar signed works found in the locker along with this.
These large Lp reproduction cover paintings wete hand painted or airbrushed and often hung in tower records stores during the 1980s thru1990s. This one probably was displayed in one of the bay area Berkeley or San Francisco stores to promote the sales of the new album or CD releases. This is painted on foam core! There is some slight Edge-wear and corner wear as you can see in the pictures. A few light scratches on the painting itself ( on black woman’s leg as well as a couple of small gouges ( above red angel’s thumb) that look like can be easily repaired or touched up!
Back of foamcore displays a previous store display from Tower Records 30 year anniversary.
A great painting that nicely captures the essence of one of the most iconic Latin rock Lp album covers of all time.
