This is a nice Macomb Pottery Co 120 yr old quart fruit jar
that my son Pontil Paul and I show being dug from the ground in one of our recent YouTube digging videos.
A heavy stoneware fruit jar made at the Macomb Pottery in Macomb, IL in the 1890s-early 1900 era....QUART size. It is embossed.

on deep sunken bottom .....thick heavy stoneware.....white Bristol glaze....brown threaded lip and top of shoulder .....round....quart.....5 1/2"tall......4 evenly space little grooves around bottom rim
. Good condition but has one sliver chip on shoulder edge. There is a small scratch or fine surface hairline on side of jar about 1 1/2"long. I cant remember now which video we show this jar being dug, as we've been doing so many digging videos........
