    Description

"CAPTE" globe frame radio, manufactured by Radio-Celard
    Mid-1950s, very good condition
I don't know how to test this--take a look at the plugs in photo #4.
We had new brackets made, the plugs that fit into the top and bottom poles of the globe, which attach the globe to the frame. They were 3-D printed, which was a new experience for me.
I will include the new brackets as well as the old ones (One old one is broken. One new one is too tall). They are bagged and labeled. We will disassemble to ship. See Photo #1 to put it back together!
The metal circular pieces function as the antennae for the radio which is in the ivory plastic base. I don't think that it's bakelite.
There are very few examples of this piece on the internet, which makes it a
great, uncommon addition for your globe collection, or a vintage radio collection.
    We will include shipping insurance.
    Thanks for your interest!
