    MERCURY
    in black underglaze print on front of jug.....brown dipped slope shoulder....only 3 1/4"tall....Excellent shiny nice condition with no chips or damage, but has a natural open air bubble on bottom. Mercury was widely used in the 1800s as a medical treatement for syphilis and venereal disease. Mercury was also used in mining to separate gold & silver from the ore...
